Loyd recently wrote an article about cylinder cleaning. This history of it, and some practical applications for it today. To to this, the subject of drying must be touched on briefly as well. The link to the article is provided.

This has been a very busy year with the demand for Vandergriff Ribs at a very high level. This expecially goes for Continental Game Changer ribs. A big shipment went to Australia, and then we were right back on making them for the USA market. This put our production schedule behind some, but the first run were delivered, and we are very close to getting the second run out. Over 4,000 forgings machined by CNC Production Machine. We are turning to Lummus Ribs now and will get those out mid-August. We are sold out of ribs completely for this year. We have wearplates available. We also have begun to offer a carbide option. It has been field tested last year and the results were outstanding. Our carbide is "custom blended," to meet the demands of the dynamics in the gin stand. It is not your run of the mill stuff. Finally, Loyd has tweaked the design of the rib to help deal with "little seed loss" more and a set is running in Australia. They are very pleased with the results of this. This new arrangement, with carbide to go with our game changer rib, will be called The Vandergriff Elite Game Changer. Stay tuned.
